Lyrics

Gone From Here

Sometimes when I wake from a selfless night, she screams but I can’t find the reason why. In these arms it aches and with an endless sigh I watch the clouds above, sun stains upon the grass. It leaves me blind.

I won’t be long, I must be on my way. It can’t take long to sew and never say that I’ll be gone from here tonight.

Whispers, they can wait. In search of shining lights, the leaves from all our days drift softly by. In the dark we age but presented with a smile seems to turn a stone and distance from the path is never kind.

I won’t be long, I must be on my way. It can’t take long to sew and never say that I’ll be gone from here, living in this way. I’ll be gone from here tonight.

And the movement makes her smile. It takes some time when we’re in denial because it all sends too soon. And I hope it comes to call.

Just Not Today

The candle wax falls to the floor and leaves a stain. The timing in question is made, believe today..

But I can’t

Just not today

And the leftover smell is familiar.

There are no prisoners here and the demons, they claim to be passing on their own.

But I can’t

Just not today

Surface of the Sun

As I fall into a never ending dream, the silence that awaits is bliss

Peace it whispers gently. Silence offers its hand. I accept it and let go.

For every corner of darkness there is a field of light.

Now I speak while I’m silently drifting to the surface of the sun

A time for the moment

When I search for an answer, it seems to fade away. When I try to make sense of it all, it keeps me at bay.

And you draw me near

And you throw me away

When the trees all drown, I’ll come find you, In my dream your breath rests softly on my neck, whispering in time.

When you crawl through the dark for a light and feel unashamed. When you listen to the silence of this night, it bleeds unafraid.

And you draw me near

And you throw me away

When the trees all drown, I’ll come find you, In my dream your breath rests softly on my neck, whispering in time.
